NYC-based non-profit organization charity: water ended 2011 with the 6th annual charity: ball gala to celebrate its fifth birthday as well as the two million people in 19 countries that they’ve brought clean drinking water to.

Hosted by actress Jessica Biel and emceed by director Tyler Perry, guests participated in various activities including Waterwalks — walking a fraction of the distance an average person in Africa might walk each day to provide water for their families. Additionally, a live auction raised 1.2 million for water projects, totaling 2.7 million for the night. The money will bring clean water to 100,000 people.
