Man… words can barely express how insane DROM NYC is going to be this Friday as moombahton producer Munchi will be welcomed back to the city by Sazon Booya, Zuzuka Poderosa, XÃO Productions‘ DJ Comrade, DJ Wyldlyfe and more. The event will include special guest appearances and live painting by Brian Life. Prepare to be exhausted from the ass-shaking inspired by heavy moombah-beats, carioca bass and Brazlian funk.

Munchi, currently promoting his new Moombahtonista EP, is a Dominican producer from Rotterdam, Netherlands and happens to be one of the most promising and innovative producers to date. Quickly becoming a major player in the worldwide club scene, he is a pioneer of moombahton — mixing the electronic sub-genre with juke, bubbling, cumbia, kuduro, breakcore, b-more and more. He’s toured with moombah creator Dave Nada, DJ Sabo, Diplo and the Mad Decent team, dropped a couple of tracks on M.I.A‘s notorious Vicki Leekx mixtape. “I’d say the best one in the game right now is Munchi from Rotterdam,” says Dave Nada. “He’s the new kid on the block. He’s 21 years old and has been producing Reggaeton and Club music for a good while, and he stumbled upon my Moombahton EP and became reinspired to create some new shit ha.
