A young, aspiring assistant editor now has the chance to work with East WillyB: An Original Web Series. The Latino Cheers mixed with Spike Lee‘s Do The Right Thing adds a comedic twist to gentrification in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The series stars April Hernandez (Dexter, Freedom Writers), Flaco Navaja (Fighting, Falling Awake), Raul Castillo (Nurse Jackie, IFC’s Cold Weather), Caridad “La Bruja” De La Luz (Bamboozled, Down to the Bone), Danny Hoch (Black Hawk Down, American Splendor) and many of NYC’s top Latino actors.

Job Details

As the assistant editor, your principal task would be the creation of assembly and rough cuts for episodes in the show’s upcoming 1st season. The applicant should be motivated and have a good grasp of file management and Final Cut Pro editing software. The position would begin ASAP and would work out of the director’s apartment. Basic knowledge of Adobe After Effects is a plus but is not necessary. There is no compensation for this job but you will receive credit on an exciting project with room for growth.
