Res and Talib Kweli as Idle Warship

Talib Kweli, Brooklyn hip-hop legend and Philly singer Res will be performing as their group Idle Warship on June 10th at B.B. Kings in New York City presented by Blue Note Jazz Festival. The group has come together to blend musical genres through their individual influences and sensibilities from hip-hop to alternative to soul. Idle Warship has already embarked on their first successful European tour, SXSW — with two amazing showcases, and released Party Robot with mixtape master DJ Mick Boogie and singer/songwriter Graph Nobel. The independent release includes fan favorites such as “Black Snake Moan,” “Steady,” and “Bedroom Lights.” Through their labor of love, music, Idle Warship hopes to spread their message of free creative expression with the release of their debut album on Blacksmith/Element 9/Fontana dropping later this year.
